WHAT WE DO

Idea!s is a social enterprise run by a group of young creative professionals who simply want to make people aware of the great stuff people are up to nowadays.

We provide multimedia communications solutions for development organizations. We construct strategically planned designs and materials that cater to the specific needs of cause-oriented organizations. By patronizing our services, our paying clients help us subsidize and support smaller organizations with their communications needs.

Why development organizations?

Because we believe in the positive change these organizations contribute to society. We believe these initiatives must be heard

MISSION AND VISION

Ultimately, we wish to see a society that is aware of and receptive to the different social issues and causes. We wish to see a public that is participative in addressing the different problems in society. We believe that one way of attaining this is through effective and focused communications.

Idea!s exists to empower non-profit organizations through creative, strategic communications. We seek to prime communications as the most potent advocacy and fundraising tool among non-profit organizations.

PEOPLE - Trust us we know what we're doing. :)

  Marielle Nadal Executive Dictator
Marielle writes and designs, and talks and talks and talks.  You can usually find her wherever there’s wireless internet available (preferably without cost).  Accompanied by her trusty laptop, Buboy, she likes working wherever she’s at.  She’s a fan of biking (she just learned), public transportation, fiction, poetry, pictures, movies and theater.  She also terrorizes unassuming freshmen at a New Media Design school in Alabang.  And for those who would care to know, she would appreciate a Timeturner for Christmas.

  Rhea Alarcon Head Driver
Rhea has an amazing knack of making order out of chaos.  Even if she sounds like a little girl over the phone, she can command without batting an eyelash, a battalion of CEOs and social development personalities into order.  At the twirl of her pinkie, events materialize, and communications plans take shape.  Apart from Berns, Rhea is the only other person on the team who has excellent command of the one program we creatives fear the most—Microsoft Excel.  Rhea is also an excellent navigator, and believes she may have been a driver in her past life.

  Berns De Leon McGyver
Berns is the female version of McGyver (remember the old show with Richard Dean Anderson?).  She loves toolsets and figuring out how things work, and can take apart anything and put it back together while blindfolded (okay, maybe not).  Photographer and graphic designer par excellence, she has actually traveled the world, but can’t remember much of it.  The advocacies closest to her heart concern the environment.  A diver, animator and cheese-lover, Berns stands up to debate when she’s had too much wine to drink, so don’t argue with her when you see her with a wineglass in hand.

  Dang Sering Mind-mapper
Dang doodles and draws and writes and paints and does graphic design.  Our all-around artiste, she loves sunflowers and magazines, and is our primary source of art theory.  She cries at movies and poetry readings, wears the funkiest earrings, and loves her colored pens.  She also transforms into the deadliest defense-martial-artist when you try the morning offensive when the wake-up call sounds.  When not losing herself in galleries and museums, she can usually be found watching SNL on YouTube at her workstation named Ayrton.

  Dan Matutina Creative Cheneser
Dan is our baby and only boy.  Photographer, filmmaker, graphic and web designer, he has a fixation on twisting dinnerware into accessories.  He likes vegetables and doughnuts and cameras.  He also holds the office record for the most number of social networking accounts and online friends.  He’s represented the country at one time or another at advertising competitions, and thus has a formidable number of penpals.  He terrorizes students too, teaching interface design and audio-video production
